The Lone Killer

The man smashed down the door with the butt of his rifle. Image result for nz armed police
The wood cracked under the force of the blow.
He shouted into the house “come out with your hands up!”
The owner of the house came out slowly,
he was dressed in his nightgown.
The gunman told him to get on the ground,
without a fight, the old man lay down warily. The gun roared as it went off into the old man's heart before he could say another word, he was dead. The neighbours woke up to the sound of the gunshots. They called 111. The emergency services answered, “ this is 111  how can we help you?”
“The police please, some gunshots have gone off in our neighbour's house,” the house owners replied
¨Ok putting you through now.“  When they picked up the phone all they heard was four gunshots at the end of the line. They immediately sent a patrol around to the house.

When they got there they found it had been ransacked. “Come out with your hands up,” the cops shouted into the house. Nobody came out of the house. The police went into the house slowly with their Bushmaster XM15 M4A3 Patrolman rifles pointing forwards. They stormed the house but found no signs of the gunman being in the house except a tiny bit of blood by the bedside phone. “Please bring in the dog squad and the armed offender squad to 552 Birch Hill Road, Okuku.” Back at the Oxford police station, they were already preparing the Dog Squad to go to the house.

All throughout Oxford they suddenly heard the blaring sirens of 20 police cars roaring along the highway. They drove to the site of the gun attack. When they got there they got ready to find the unknown fellow had murdered three people in cold blood. The dogs immediately caught the scent of the man. They were following the assassin, the dogs were hot on his trail. “Please close all air terminals and put them on high alert looking out for this man!” yelled the superintendent. By that time the gunman was already at the airport boarding a boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to Hawaii. A ding-dong sounded when the air hostess picked up the intercom to speak to the passengers, “please stay seated as the police come and check for an unwanted passenger!” “Thank you for your patience.” As soon as the air hostess had finished saying that, 10 armoured police officers stormed the plane. They walked along each aisle looking for the person who had murdered three people that night. At the other end of the plane in the first class section, a man in his forties got out of his seat and made his way to the exit. Suddenly one of the police officers shouted “ you stop!” the officer pointed his gun towards the escaping person. “Stop or I’ll shoot.” The man stopped suddenly and pulled out a gun. Bang Bang the gun went off killing the officer immediately. The other police officers then dropped onto their knees and started shooting at the man. He escaped through the emergency exit at the front of the plane. He ran across the tarmac to an empty airport baggage carrier which by coincidence had its keys still hanging in the keyhole…

The shadowy person jumped into the cart pushing his foot down against the accelerator. The cart roared away with the baggage carts rattling because of the speed the cart was going at. It was speeding along the runway towards the Gate in the fence of the airport. When he got to the exit he shot the lock apart and unlatched the carts, then sped off into the night.  When he got to the base of Pudding Hills he found a farmhouse, he went inside and found a lady sitting on a chair. He found a sack and gagged the lady and put her in the bag and tied it up. I will deal with her later. The next day he took the sack and the lady down to the river and threw the bag into the river. He thought: Sometimes you have to do some bad things to get things you want. He went back to the farmhouse and killed a bull for his dinner. In the morning he hired a digger from the Ashburton U hire. He got back from Ashburton at 6:00 pm that night.  He started digging a gigantic hole to put his four newly brought containers he was going to bury the containers to make his hideout if the police came looking for him. That night he had a massive bonfire to burn the cart he had taken from the airport because the lady at the house had a four-wheel drive silver Nissan Navara. He slept in the old lady's bed with new sheets on it. In the morning he made burgers out of the bull he had killed the day before. After his breakfast , he submerged the container’s in the 10 meter deep hole he had dug last night. Once he had done that he concreted them in leaving a hole for the entrance. He installed a lifting door that was 2 meters thick and bombproof. Once it was working he got power connected up to the containers and he inserted lights onto the roof. In the first container, he put his gun storage, ten lockers full of guns ranging from pistols to browning machine guns. In the second container, he put his array of high tech computers connecting to a satellite dish that he installed on top of the old lady's house. In the third container, he put his living quarters with his bed, cupboard, toilet, shower, and kitchen.
And in the fourth, he made a massive workshop in and out of the container. He left the containers through the living room and jumped into his car to get some supplies. As he drove along the road he came to a police cordon checking peoples cars. He turned around quickly and sped down the highway back to his bunker parking his car in the hills by his house. Next time he would check the satellite images of the roads going to the supermarket and hardware store. Beep beep beep. A sound came from the inbuilt speakers of the bunker. He ran across to the security footage screening on one of the computers. A red light was flashing in one of the many squares of camera footage. It showed 5 armed police officers walking towards some tyre tracks he had made earlier that day. They looked at the tracks and followed them towards his hidden car. The police officers found it eventually found the car. They shrugged guessing that it was just someone going tramping around the area they walked back to their cars and drove away. After that, he decided he needed a garage that could store the car, a John Deere S4 825i Gator XUV with Camoplast UTV T4S tracks, an Argocat Avenger 8x8, an Argocat Conquest XT with tracks and a pair of chains that he was going to purchase from the local John Deere and Agrocat dealer. He hired another digger to dig his garage. He dug the garage out and installed a lifting door to keep it concealed.  By that time it was winter and he couldn't get his car to the road to go into town so he had to take his luck with the Gator XUV. He drove to the Darfield supermarket to do his shopping. On the way back he decided he needed a fuel tank so he didn't have to risk going into town. When he got back he put the fuel tank in the back right-hand corner of the large garage. The next day he went for a drive into the hills to go hunting. Once he had got as far as he could go he walked one kilometre further he saw a group of ten deer. He switched his AK-47 to semi-automatic and pulled the trigger down for 10 seconds sweeping it from left to right. He dropped all of them to the ground. He walked back to the Gator and drove to the spot he had killed the deer. John threw them into the back of the 4x4 and drove back to the house. When he got back he saw a black car with tinted windows parked outside the old lady's house. On the roof was a man with a police uniform on. John quickly reversed away to the shelter of the forest. The man on the roof was looking at the satellite and trying to figure out what it was used for. He found the cord leading into the house and went inside to investigate. When he got into the house he found the cord was plugged into a snake with lots of other cords leading from it to Heat detectors, CCTV cameras, Passive Infrared Motion sensors, Ultrasonic detectors, Microwave detectors, Magnetic sensors, Photoelectric beams, Glass Break sensors, Inertia sensors and Driveway alarms. All he thought of it was the owner was away on a holiday and was very protective of their house.
He walked back to his colleagues and said “there was nothing unusual except someone was very protective of their house. They got back into the black car and drove off. John drove the car down into the garage and parked it up. He sat down at the desk and looked at the satellite feed showing the road to the petrol station and supermarket. There were no roadblocks or police patrols. He went back into the garage and hooked the petrol tank up to the ute and drove down to the petrol station without any trouble. He filled up the tank and got enough supplies to last him for the next 2 months. He gasped when he saw the price $3000. He put it into the Ute and drove back home. He put the food in the freezers and fridges along the wall. That night he was going to use the deer he caught to make sausages. He had venison sausages, hash browns and  beef steaks for dinner because he was hungry after being in the forest for over 12 hours.

Digital Footprint advert!

Digging the giant foot for the final scene!

Filming the first scene at the beach...

In the second and third term of 2018, we designed, researched and filmed two adverts, both about our digital identity.

We spent 2 weeks preparing and making props for the 45 second advert. It took lots of hard work modeling and painting people's feet until the time had come to go down to the beach to video it.

We went down in the school van with Elizabeth and some of the Digi Team. We started the first scene with Joanna walking along the beach. We had to walk along backwards making sure Joanna's feet were in the camera frame at all times.

We then had to dig a gigantic foot to film from the Pier. Sadly we didn't finish it all that day so we had to go back to the beach the next day to film Mailli's feet. Then Mikayla, Zoe L and I had to edit the video and make it into the 45 second time slot that it had to fit into.

In the end we finished it and sent it off to the MADE AWARDS to be judged and placed. We got second place in the Jenny Griggs creativity award. We got a small golden concrete statue and two Sphero Minis (robotic balls).
